My oil paintings are sensual and poetic. They are microcosmic views of flora, which sometimes go into the abstract. They reflect both feminine and masculine energy, which is seen in their curvaceous shapes, bold colors and hard edges. The composition entices the viewer to enter, just as a flower does in nature. By using many layers of paint and glaze I can create this world on canvas. It is a careful, timely procedure that brings a special luminosity and glow to each unique painting.
