Madina Croce, who signs her paintings, “DINI”, is a self-taught impressionist painter who paints florals and landscapes. She is also a native Santa Fean.
“I am inspired by beauty in nature, especially illuminated things-- the way light constantly changes everything. There are moments when things are all lit up, particularly in early morning and evening that just transfix me into painting them!”
“I feel I have an affinity for water. I love to paint the motion and colors of waves and ripples in streams and waterfalls. Water-places are constantly changing and flowing. I frequently paint en plein air, to capture the emotional essence of a place on canvas. I also have a garden, and paint my flowers who often seem to be saying loudly to me, ‘Paint me! Paint me!’ They are at the pinnacle of their life cycle when in bloom, tremendous energy and perfection there.”
Madina has been showing her work in Santa Fe since June of 2003. Her paintings are collected from California to Washington, D.C. Her currently available paintings may be seen by appointment at her Santa Fe Studio at 505-438-8866; cell 505-231-5018; email diniart@cybermesa.com and at these fine galleries:
