I was born and raised in Santa Fe and I’ve lived my entire life in New
Mexico and Arizona. I spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors – hiking,
biking, camping -- and I carry a camera (loaded with black and white film,
of course!) whenever possible. The wonderful light, colors, textures, and
subject matter of the Southwest landscape lend themselves perfectly to
interpretation in black and white.
I work exclusively in traditional photo processes. I shoot only
film and I personally process and print all images in my studio
darkroom. Most of my work is printed on silver gelatin paper,
although I have recently begun printing some images using platinum/palladium
and VanDyke processes that were popular during the mid to late
1800’s. Prints are archivally
processed and dry-mounted on 100% rag mat board.
