K. LaTourrette has been a resident of Santa Fe, NM since 1991. She grew up in Albuquerque and has lived in the Southwest most of her life. She graduated from New Mexico State University and earned a master's degree from Troy State University. Her biography appeared in 'Who's Who of American Women'.
K. is a member of the Santa Fe Society of Artists and a signature member of the NM Watercolor Society. Several of her paintings were juried for exhibit in Master Works of NM shows and NM Watercolor Society shows, where she won awards.
K. lived for a short while in Europe and Japan with her husband and three sons. During her travels there, she painted the German wine country, rubbed brasses in the old churches of England and painted the quaint villages of Okinawa.
K's paintings have been exhibited in galleries in: Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque, NM; California and northern Virginia. Her paintings can be found in numerous private collections.
K's talents span a broad spectrum of art forms: batik, macrame, brass rubbing, wood carving, pottery, oils, encaustics and her preferred medium watercolor.
