Aleta Pippin’s curiosity about the natural and spiritual
worlds becomes obvious in her paintings. A student of metaphysics, at one time
wanting to become a Unity minister, Pippin is inspired by the process of creation
and emotional impact of color. “I’m interested in using color
in a way that is beautiful and uplifting.”
"I love color! My goal is to create high-key, yet pleasing images to uplift the
human spirit. A painting is a snapshot in time and provides the viewer with the
opportunity to glimpse an entire world, viewing what’s on the surface of
the painting or looking deeper into the painting to view the many subtle worlds
lying just beneath the surface,” explains Pippin.
Pippin's images are triggered by nature, music, dreams, glimpses of color and
form that lie just beneath her conscious awareness, yet are willing to surface
during the creative process.
It is Aleta's passion to delve into color and its implications. She knows color
has the power to have an emotional impact on the viewer just as music does.
Through the use of certain colors, Aleta believes that she can communicate
the beauty she sees in the world.
Aleta is a partner in Artistas de Santa Fe Gallery and an active member of
the Santa Fe Society of Artists. She has had numerous one-person shows and
her paintings are collected by commercial and individual collectors nationally.
