"Modern" and "natural" describe my
sculpture. Primarily I use stone as my medium and work in a modern style.
Textures that I use are cut depending on the nature of the material.
How it cuts and breaks are innate to its structure and essence. My role
is to transform the natural material into a universal statement. An archetype
that is appreciated from our personal and profound experience. The pieces
look ancient, but are modern. They are on a timeline. Are they old or
new, or is it the same time? Are we looking at something from Egypt,
or is it Celtic? They are about the experience of being alive, being
here, now - brought through the tactile and visual experience of art.
