My father was a photography enthusiast when I was growing up, so I've been toting a camera around since I was in kindergarten. When I was a teenager, I was gifted a 35mm camera and that's when I realized I had a true passion for photography.
When I made the leap from film to digital, I discovered that I could blend photographs of textured surfaces with subject photographs to create depth and emotion. It felt like I had been set free because I now had a way to allow my imagination to flow, unobstructed. Nothing excites me more than layering multiple photographs together to compose a completely different image.
I refer to my work as Photographic Art or Artography because it reaches beyond traditional photography and allows me the freedom to bring my images to life in a way that the lens alone cannot capture. Through these images, I hope the viewer will experience that there is more to our magnificent world than meets the eye...
