Having grown up in New Mexico, the landscape has always held
a special fascination for me. My interest in old buildings and vista style
landscape is reflected in a romantic style. Color and light comprise the most
important part of my work. View my work and step into the land of enchantment.
When I was in college, I studied still life and figure drawing.
After receiving my degree in secondary education, I moved to Sante Fe and continued
my studies in art education. I started painting and showing my work primarily
through a local art group doing outdoor shows. I have also studied with Lee
Rommel, George Pate, and George Burrows as well as painting on my own.
I am an active member of the Santa Fe Society of artists,
the Independent Artists Co-op, and a weekly critique group fondly called OLGA
(our little group of artists). I also maintain a membership in the Sante Fe
Council for the Arts. I have taught oil painting for over 20 years and have
a loyal following.
