I combine my love of history with my passion for the New Mexican landscape to create art that reflects the timelessness of that subject matter. Relying on photos, sketches and memories of places on the back roads of New Mexico. I use vibrant, saturated colors, bold compositions and slightly altered perspectives to present, rather than represent, this special place. I find oil pastels the perfect medium to depict the New Mexico landscape.
